General Education Courses

  • Provide work-oriented learning in communication, mathematics, natural science, and social science.
  • Our courses are designed to help learners:
    1. Succeed in college, on the job, and in daily living.
    2. State and solve technical problems.
    3. Communicate clearly and interact within society.
  • Are required in all associate degree and most technical diploma programs.
  • Can often be transferred to four-year colleges and universities and to other Wisconsin Technical Colleges.
  • Are offered throughout the District.

Before taking General Education Classes, students should meet with an NWTC counselor to discuss entrance requirements.
